The C6 is Nokia’s new Symbian based Smartphone which combines a full touch sensitive display with a slide out QWERTY keyboard. With the presence of the keyboard come fantastic messaging features with SNS media support. Nokia are also supplying C6 users with a rich Ovi bundle and great web connectivity with Wi Fi and 3G connections. Other cool features include a digital camera, multimedia hub, an A-GPS receiver and FM radio and the phone comes with Bluetooth, a USB connection for PC synchronization and a 3.5mm jack so you can plug in your own headphones.
Nokia have made the phone in two colour variations; black and white, it looks very Nokia-ish but in a good way, so often Nokia handsets look quite plain and repetitive, in simple terms “samey”, the Nokia C6 looks far classier and well built, the slider on which the keyboard is mounted is rigid and sturdy and the keyboard itself feels robust and reliable, the keys are very well sized, perfect for typing. The software team at Nokia have put a lot of work in to the C6’s messaging, support for e-mail and IM come as standard, the dedicated e-mail client enables full access and management of all of your accounts including Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo! Mail, and the lucrative Ovi package supplies you with the free Ovi Mail service.
The outstanding function of the C6 is its spectacular social network coverage. You have full access to all of your accounts with integration from Facebook and Twitter, you can customize your home screen with widgets which send live feeds from Facebook and Twitter, all the latest tweets and status updates are sent directly to your screen. You can also set up your home screen with widgets that keep you up to date with news, weather and your calendar, you can even visit the Ovi Store and check out the tons of downloadable apps, themes, games and wallpapers to customize your C6 to suite your own lifestyle. The C6 delivers a full web browsing experience with pan and zoom controls and a useful bookmark feature so you can access your favourite pages instantly, both the 3G and Wi Fi connections provide fast, reliable connections to the internet.
The 5 mega pixel camera Nokia have bolted onto the back is great for day-to-day snaps and can handle video pretty well too; all of your captured content can be uploaded to your favourite sharing sites, with the likes of Facebook and YouTube the pick of the bunch. Nokia have also thrown a very tidy Music Player; it plays music obviously, and it is supported by an expandable external memory and 3.5mm AV jack; the memory can be expanded up to 16GB and the jack is handy for plugging in your own personal headphones so you can listen to your favourite tracks in private.
The Nokia C6 is Very Good at what it does; it handles messaging and SNS very well with its full QWERTY keyboard and with the online aspects it delivers you have your self a very good Smartphone experience.
