Can a landline phone text a cellular phone?
Someone sent me a vulgar text from this number 313-768-6822 , they keep sending things and I am certain I do not know this person.They are saying things like they had sex with me, and etc and I ask their name and they say Carl. They said my name and they spelled it right which people I know have a hard time remembering how to spell my name correctly… so they must have gotten my name from somewhere or somebody.My friends ex girl found out him and I were tesxing and she may have gotten my name and # out his phone and decided to pretend to be a guy and harrass me…and Im sure she wouldnt use her own phone o do it from.
I did a reverse phone lookup online and its coming back as a landline phone with the name tracey walker.
they are spoofing the phone number. You need to call your service provider as well as your local police (internet crimes division). The person is harassing you and this is illegal.
