How do i set a password up for my wifi or how do i unlock it?

trying to connect to wifi in my house with different things like my little laptop and ipod touch but i dont know how to unlock my wifi or how to set up a password to get on it atleast

Open up the router manual.
Connect to the gateway address (Something like 192.168.1.0)
Set it up through there.

Or..
Run the CD wizard if included.
